have a unique and special profile featuring a level butt, steep taper and level tip. We at Pioneer Fly Fishing use them extensively for all our dry fly work and duo style fly fishing on rivers. They can be cut back to your desired length or have extra tipped added to extend the leader or increase the life of the leader. We use just one diameter, or breaking strength; 5X, which is rated at 3lb, but we use both 9ft and 12ft versions. This gives us the versatility to use a short leader when conditions dictate, e.g. in windy conditions, or in tight spots, and a longer leader where the casting position allows, and when the target is a spooky trout or grayling. We can add an extra tippet to this too, allowing us to use leaders of 15ft and longer if need be

We have tied our Czech Nymph Leaders from Fulling Mill World Class Fluorocarbon for many years now, perfecting the overall length, and the all important distance between flies. We have seen that many of our guests are unsure of the exact set-up for this type of fly fishing. We ourselves don't want to waste time tying leaders on the river bank, or at home when we could be experimenting at the fly tying vice. We asked Fulling Mill to tie these Czech Nymph Leaders to our specifications. We are pleased to announce that they agreed and these leaders are now being produced for us.
