Pioneer Flyfishing - Fly Selection

Pioneer flies – an outstanding range of flies designed and selected by Jeremy Lucas and Stuart Minnikin. These include flies from within the outstanding, world-beating Fulling Mill range (designed by us or by our friends such as Paul Procter or England team-mates), and flies tied exclusively by us.

We also feature here a boxed set of San River flies, tied exclusively for Pioneer Fly Fishing by the legendary Kuba, Poland's premier fly dresser. These are available as boxed sets (in a beautiful, hand-crafted, hardwood box) in Polish-style nymph and dry fly collections.

Also included is the awesome Muller range of dry flies, the most technically advanced, and hugely effective, emerger-style dry flies ever designed.

Stuart Minnikin also presents his outstanding Czech-style Caddis larvae patterns. At the other end of the scale are supreme CDC dry patterns, including his Pale Watery which has proved so successful over the years on rivers as far removed as the Ure and the San.

Pioneer flies are designed for purpose – aesthetically beautiful, functional and perfected for a range of situations.
