for Fulling Mill. We used it for much of our fly fishing on rivers and lakes. We were immediately impressed with its qualities. It is very much like many of the other top brands of copolymer on the market, but without their disadvantages. It has far less shine, it is more resistant to abrasion and is very supple for perfect presentation. Fulling Mill Copolymer is very strong for its diameter with exceptional knot strength. The technical people at Fulling Mill tell us this is because: "the unique formula ensures minimum water absorption and an extra long shelf  life"
Our friends at Fulling Mill are keeping the formula secret, and we can understand why! Quite simply this is the best copolymer leader material we have ever used, by a long way. We use it for dry fly fishing on rivers and lakes, and we use it for most river fishing methods, except Czech nymphing, when we then use the Fulling Mill Czech Nymph Leaders, tied with World Class fluorocarbon. The 7X (2.21lb) is a particular favourite for our grayling dry fly fishing in autumn when they feed on tiny aphids and smuts/midges.
